Pirate Twins - Corona Public Library

The Pirates at Pirate night were so nice. Some of my favorites were Treasure Island and Black Pearl. I talked to them right at the beginning and they talked to me every time they saw me all night. They taught me how to pirate dance.

Check back. I still have highlights from the Pirate Adventure show,  and my very first ever interview, with Miss Annie Bannanie the Balloon Storyteller.

Pirate Paint: Connor Rudolph

Hey Everyone!

One of the most fun things I did was get my face painted. A nice boy named Connor did it. He was funny. He has a great Pirate accent too! He is part of a theater group called CAT Corona. He was helping out with Pirate Night and he didn't mind being a part of my blog.

There are some great pictures of the pirates from the library, and Connor too, at the CAT Corona facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/CATCorona I talked to all the pirates in those pictures, they were terrific and I have video with a lot of them for a post later this week.

Come back in the next few days. I still have highlights from the Pirate Adventure. Plus, I talk to pirate twins and I got to interview Miss Annie and the kids who helped her with the balloons classes, they were all really great.

Friends of the Library

I had so much fun with the wheel of fortune. I won a spyglass, an eye patch, a treasure tattoo, a belt clip and a clacker. The ladies that ran the game were really nice. At the end they talked to me about Pirate Night and the Friends of Library. I like the Friends. They get new books and they pay for the musicians to play at the library.

Thank You to Miss Gretchen and Miss Carmen for talking to me and agreeing to be on my blog. I had fun doing interviews.

Here are some stills from the fun Pirate Night last Saturday!

Check back for my interview with Miss Carmen and Miss Gretchen. They work with the library and they were really nice about explaining all about how the fundraiser night works. Later in the week you can see highlights from the Pirate Adventure show that I got to be in and also an interview with Miss Annie and her helpers.

Ahoy Viewers!

Hello Everyone!

Tonight we got to go to Pirate night at the library. It was so much fun. There were crafts and games. I made balloon swords and won prizes. There was even a pirate show and I got chosen to play the castaway and ship cook. I cooked M& M's for the crew and I was a spy. The best part was dressing up as a pirate.

I have lots of posts coming up from Pirate Night at the Library.

*I got to be in the show, so that will be one.

*I did my first ever interview! I interviewed Miss Annie the Balloon Lady and her helpers. They were fun to talk to.

*I also got my face painted and I talked to the boy who painted my face. He was terrific.

*I interviewed the ladies at the wheel of fortune about the library, friends of the library and the fundraiser.

*Plus I got to talk to really fun pirates all night.

It will take me and mom a few days to edit the 2 hours of video we shot so keep checking back to see what is new.

Stay Kool!

On Tuesday I got to go to a concert at the library after I did homework.
It was a man called Brother Yusef and he played Blues music. I really enjoyed the music and he was a fantastic guitar player. . At the end he gave me his autograph. Now I have two. I am so sad that I forgot my video camera. You would have liked to hear him play. He has lots of videos on his website if you want to hear him play. http://brotheryusef.com/

Read for My School: Final Day

Hey Everyone!!!
http://readingcelebrations.org/

April 5, 2013 was the last day to read for We Give Books Read For My School. On their site they said that it only took one week to earn all the books that could be given. http://www.wegivebooks.org/readformyschool. I am so glad I could be a part of it.

I could only read 10 books, but my mom and my family used the profile that Mom set up and they read so many books. I hope that others helped us too. I am so excited that we got to earn all 250 books that we could earn for the school. I really hope that we won the book mobile too. I don't know when they will tell us about that.

I am really excited because these books are for the younger kids. My class reads with the kindergarteners each week. I have so much fun doing that. It would be great if they had new books to read.

That is all for now. I will tell you which charity I am going to read for in April and give a new book review this week.

I got a haircut!

I hate getting my hair cut. I don't like to have my hair touched. I really don't like the buzz of the shaver. I have not had my hair cut by someone besides my mom since kindergarten.

We were at the mall for the juggling show and there is a new place for kids hair cuts. Mom just asked how much the cuts are and I decided I have too much hair. It is always in my eyes too. Once at the park some boy asked if I am a boy or a girl.

Charlene cut my hair and she did a great job. The haircut place is neat. It has TVs and fun chairs and Miss Charlene sprayed color in my hair at the end. I don't mind getting my hair cut anymore. I think it might be fun. I think I look terrific.
